A,E,I,O,U - we're the vowels, we're the glue...

My guess is that if you have kids you own some Leapfrog products.  The only baby/toddler/kid products to which I am faithful are Pampers, Johnson&Johnson, Britax, and Leapfrog.  Everything we've ever had that is Leapfrog has been quality educational and the kids have loved every single thing.  When William was 20 months old we started playing the DVD The Letter Factory.  By the time he was 2 he knew all his letters and their sounds.  I would nod and smile when people would say, "Wow, you must work with him a lot at home."  Ummm, no.  We have always read together but he knew stuff from TV long before he knew it from me.  Don't judge.  Anyway, The Word Factory is his new favorite.  He's learning how to put letters together and spell words by sounding them out on his own and this is a perfect video.  Drew is a beginning reader so it all completely makes sense to her so she enjoys it, too.  She's mastered all it shows so she finds great success in being able to answer the questions that are asked by Tad and Lily (the characters in the video).

If you don't have this series of DVD's (there are also some Math Factory videos) then I suggest you buy them.  They are worth every penny.

Here's a preview of The Word Factory:

  1. I also love LeapFrog. We have both those videos and Ryan enjoys them. Before he could speak words, he knew the entire alphabet by sight. That freaked out his speech therapist! A kid that doesn't talk but knows his letters:)He learned them from Preschool Prep. Another great company and I love their videos as well.

  2. This is what I play in my car if I have to play something. It played in there forever!
