Something more important than Spongebob

I never want to use my blog to solicit for money for any kind of fundraiser BUT I am going to include my link to our Relay for Life page.  You can click here to see it.  I'd like to encourage you to donate to somebody who is walking in RFL, whether it's to me or to someone in your own hometown or to one of your facebook friends who undoubtedly will be posting their link on their wall.  Chances are if you're reading this, cancer has effected you in some way or another.  It has certainly effected us, in 2010 more than ever before.  We will be walking in memory of Aunt Debbie and in honor of my mom. 

The kids have done RFL since they were babies and they understand what cancer is and what it can do to people you love.  Even if we don't reach our fundraising goal, they will be a part of something community-based that is important to us and I think that's the most lasting lesson.  Life is not all about Spongebob and gum and dessert night.  It's about something much, much, much bigger.  Even though they are 1, 4, and 5 I think it's important to expose them to that.
